Srimad Bhagavatam is one of the greatest scriptures and is held in great esteem both as a bhakthi and jnana shastra.

Consisting of 18000 verses across 12 cantos, this Purana was written by Sri Veda Vyasa and narrated to King Parikshit by Sage Suka in seven days, when the later faced a curse of death by the sting of a serpent.

Srimad Bhagavatam talks about various spiritual paths and primarily shows the path of devotion, through the life histories of many great devotees. Srimad Bhagavatam talks about the birth and the life of Lord Sri Krishna.
